Empty the water, take out the inner silicone insert and rinse both parts under the tap. Let them air-dry before putting the insert back.

Most pets get used to it after a few tries. Start with lukewarm water, go slowly and reward with a treat. For very muddy paws, rinse twice and pat dry with a towel.

Size S is suitable for a Maltese. If you move it up and down their claws can get caught, so they don't like that. Put the paw in and spin it like a washing machine and it cleans thoroughly.
